Privacy Policy

What we collect
- Account data — name, email and avatar, handled by our authentication provider when you sign up or log in.
- Work content — what you and your organization put into Pengwiz: bets, tasks, wiki pages, comments, signals, tickets, time logs, attachments.
- Billing data — payment details go directly to Stripe; we never see or store card numbers, only subscription status and seat counts.
- Operational logs — request logs and error reports (IP address, browser, timestamps) kept to run and secure the Service.
We do not run advertising trackers and we do not sell personal data. Ever.
What we use it for
To provide the Service, bill for it, secure it, support you, and send the notifications you configure (in-app inbox, email digests, Slack). Notification preferences, including unsubscribing from every email digest with one click, are yours to control.
Who processes it
We use a short list of processors, each only for what it is for:
- Clerk — authentication and account management
- Stripe — payments and subscriptions
- Amazon Web Services — hosting, storage, email delivery and AI inference
- PlanetScale — the database
- GitHub, Slack and Google — only if your organization connects those integrations, and only for the data those integrations need
AI features
When you use an AI feature, the relevant content is sent to the model provider (AWS Bedrock) to generate the response you asked for. It is not used to train models and is not retained by the provider beyond processing.
Retention and deletion
Work content stays for as long as your account or organization exists. The organization owner can export everything as JSON from Settings at any time. When an account or organization is deleted, its data is removed from the live database promptly and from backups on their rolling expiry. Operational logs are kept for a limited period and then discarded.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your personal data. Where GDPR or similar laws apply, you also have the rights to restriction, objection and portability, and to complain to your supervisory authority. Write to hello@pengwiz.com and we will respond within 30 days.
Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and remember preferences like your theme. No third-party advertising cookies.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will announce it in the app or by email before it takes effect.
